Bram Stoker Award-winning author Stephanie Wytovich interviewed Linda Addison and me about our collab dark poetry collection 'The Place of Broken Things'
Excerpt from the review: (…) "This wonderfully dark, surreal book is filled with music and nightmares as it explores the darkness surrounding the words 'Broken,' 'Things,' and 'Place'. When reading it, I was immediately struck by the way the two of them complimented one another, their words each breathing into the other's like soft prayers and suffocations." (…)

THE PLACE OF BROKEN THINGS, my new dark poetry collection written in collaboration with Linda D. Addison, reviewed by Pamela Scott for The Books Lover Boudoir.
Excerpt from the review: (…) I read a lot of poetry, dozens of collections a year but I don’t think I’ve read anything quite like this before. I’d no idea genre poetry even existed. What a great idea! This is one of the most original and interesting poetry collections I’ve ever read. (…)

"The Place of Broken Things is a dark delight of a collection. I was particularly impressed by the poems Addison and Manzetti wrote together -- they flawlessly play off each other's tone and language to create stand-out pieces like 'While the Rooftops Became Red' and 'The Dead Dancer.' Each piece embraces flavorful language that sticks on your tongue as you read along and digest the poems. Highly recommend this collection to all fans of darkness and the macabre!"
Sara Tantlinger, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of 'The Devil's Dreamland: Poetry Inspired by H.H. Holmes'
"Beautifully written and endlessly evocative, this collection of poetry from Linda Addison and Alessandro Manzetti is a pleasure beginning to end. Particularly notable are the mirrored poems 'Kolkata's Little Girl' and 'Philly's Little Boy'. This is what horror poetry should be! Highly recommend."
Kate Jonez, Chief Editor at the Bram Stoker Award winning press Omnium Gatherum, author of 'Candy House'

From the review:
(…) Calcutta Horror rates a super big FIVE STARS! This excellent celebration of Poppy Z. Brite’s writing gives us a guided tour through a terrifying place that previously only existed in our imaginations. Full of dark doorways, hidden places, and huge public spaces that are just beyond the crusty, disease-infested hovels. This is a timeless treasure that you will want to read again and again. Between the bold artwork by Stefano Cardoselli and the haunting words by Alessandro Manzetti, there is something new to see on every page. Highly recommended! (…)
