Alessandro Manzetti (Rome, Italy, AKA Caleb Battiago) is a three-time Bram Stoker Award-winning writer, editor, scriptwriter and essayist of horror fiction and dark poetry. His work has been published extensively (more than 40 books) in Italian and English, including novels, short and long fiction, poetry, essays, graphic novels and collections.

In addition to the Bram Stoker Award (which he has won three-time, and been nominated multiple time), he is a winner of the SFPA Elgin Award (along with multiple nominations), and a winner of the HWA Specialty press Award which he received as the owner and editor-in-chief of Independent Legions Press.
He has been nominated multiple times for the Splatterpunk Awards, This Is Horror Awards, Rhysling Awards and other literary prizes. His works received honorabile mentions and mentions in Ellen Datlow's The Best Horror of the Year Vol. 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13.
Manzetti is the CEO and Founder of Independent Legions Publishing, editor of Molotov Magazine (in Italian), an HWA Active member and a former HWA Board of Trustees member. He has twice served on the Bram Stoker Award Lifetime Achievement Award Jury, and in 2021 he served the Science Fiction Poetry Association as the Rhysling Award Chair.
